Recognized by TIME100, Driven by Data: Why We’re Listening Closely to LGBTQ+ Youth in 2025

Earlier this year, I had the honor of being named to the TIME100 Health list for my work at The Trevor Project, where I lead research focused on preventing suicide among LGBTQ+ young people. At the TIME100 Impact Dinner, I gave a toast that was both deeply personal and grounded in data – sharing what it means to watch my own transgender son thrive when surrounded by affirmation, and what the research shows about how life-saving that support can be. From teachers and parents to crisis counselors and policymakers, we each have a role to play in creating safer, more supportive environments for LGBTQ+ youth.

That’s why I’m encouraging every LGBTQ+ young person ages 13 to 24 to take part in The Trevor Project’s 2025 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People, which is live now. This survey helps us better understand the challenges young people are facing – and informs the programs, resources, and policy advocacy that can truly save lives. If you don’t personally qualify, I hope you’ll share it with someone who does. Every voice matters, and every response helps ensure LGBTQ+ youth are seen, supported, and counted.

Join The Trevor Project For Our 52 Mile Pride Ride Challenge

For LGBTQ+ young people, having an affirming community makes all the difference. Community is wherever you feel connected — that’s when we’re strongest. That’s the power of us. Our Trevor community shows up for each other, even in the face of incredible challenges. That’s why we’re excited to invite you to join another virtual fundraising challenge this Pride — so we can continue to show up for LGBTQ+ young people. We’re asking our community to commit to logging 52 miles — however it feels best to move — all in effort of supporting our mission to end suicide among LGBTQ+…

Pride Donor Spotlight

For Pride this year, we’re focusing on community. Stories of Pride: The Power of Us celebrates those who have supported LGBTQ young people and made them feel part of something bigger over the years. Our donors are some of the most passionate, dedicated members of the Trevor family and make our Trevor community what it is. We wanted to take some space to celebrate some of the amazing individual donors who make our life-saving work possible and connect with them about their stories. Our donors are the heart of our organization, and we’re so excited to give you the opportunity…
